Wildfire LOA
Greetings Fellow AEE Members,
AEE has recently completed a Wildfire Letter of Agreement (LOA) for those impacted by the recent wildfires. The Agencies’ intent is that if an employee’s principle residence was completely lost due to the recent wildfires or the residential structure was made uninhabitable (not inaccessible) due to the recent wildfires that the employee may be eligible for additional leave of up to 80 hours. The leave must be taken during the period of time that the related emergency declaration (retroactive to September 1, 2020) is in place (and not later than June 30, 2021). This additional leave will not be available after that timeframe even if it hasn’t all been expended. Eligible employees will also be able to request donated leave once they have expended all of their leave.
