LOA Engineering Classification Study ODOT Layoff

AEE Bargaining Unit Members,

This afternoon, Tuesday, July 15, we came to an agreement with DAS on a Letter of Agreement (LOA) that addresses the overlay of the Engineering Class Study with the layoff process (full copy available here).

Here are some key highlights:

  • All AEE-employees who are receiving layoff notices will have extended time to submit their options form.

  • Employees who receive layoff letters now have until Thursday, July 31 to submit their layoff Option form.

  • Regardless of classification, new/updated layoff notices will be issued to AEE represented employees on or before Wednesday, July 16.

  • An updated seniority list will be provided by ODOT using pre-Engineering Class Study classifications.

  • For layoff and bumping purposes, the classifications, classification specifications, and MQs in effect prior to the Engineering Class Study will be utilized.

  • For recall purposes, after reallocations, the new, post-Study classifications will be utilized.
